Our firm can trace its roots back to the 1880s. William N. Reynolds Sr., a native of Wyoming County, PA was a civil war veteran, having volunteered and served in Company H, 187th Pa infantry. After the war, Mr. Reynolds became an attorney and began practicing law in Tunkhannock, PA. William N. Reynolds Jr. joined his father in the firm and they opened law offices in Wilkes-Barre.

Robert J. Doran was the son of Irish immigrants. His father first worked as a miner, but later ran a dairy farm in Hanover Township. Robert J. Doran graduated from Wyoming Seminary and enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania, but his studies were interrupted at the start of World War I. Robert J. Doran was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and served in the 109th machine gun corps until he was injured while fighting in France.

After his recovery, Robert J. Doran returned to the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his degree, and he was admitted to the practice of law in Luzerne County, PA in 1926. He joined the Reynolds firm and continued practicing as Reynolds, Reynolds & Doran until the early 1960s.

After his admission to the bar, John H. Doran, nephew of Robert J. Doran, became associated with Reynolds, Reynolds, & Doran and then continued as a partner in various firms until the present day, at which time he and his daughter Lisa M. Doran practice law in the firm of Doran & Doran, PC.
